The best restaurants for dinner with sea views on the Costa Brava
Gastronomy is one of the big attractions of the Costa Brava, essential for rounding off your holiday or even to plan a gastronomic break. Enjoying dinner with sea views at one of the sophisticated restaurants in the area, which combines its splendid cuisine with an unbeatable setting, is an experience you cannot miss.
Terraces, gardens or conservatories with incredible panoramic views of the Mediterranean and service in accordance with its category, are the setting for the best surf and turf cuisine.
Who can resist? Traditional and contemporary cuisine, diligent service, personalised attention, large, comfortable and exclusive spaces with enchanting panoramic views.
End the night at your leisure with a cocktail or drink and spend time in the best company, contemplating the sea and the flicker of lights of the trammel or squid fishing boats, or the people walking by.
Discover eight unique spaces here for your gastronomic dinners with sea views this summer.
On the main terrace of the Hotel Vistabella in Roses, this renowned restaurant on the Costa Brava has some deluxe sea views and beautiful terraces over the breakwater.
Its exceptional location allows guests to enjoy the best sunsets over the bay of Roses, an ideal setting to discover its contemporary local cuisine in an exclusive ambience.
We suggest completing the experience with a visit to its splendid new wine cellar, where its sommelier will guide you to choose the best wine from its incredible selection of 400 wines to accompany an unforgettable evening.
Creativity and innovation without forgetting the roots of the Costa Brava as almost 100 years have passed since Grandpa “Honorat”, the namesake of the restaurant, served the first meals to then emerging visitors.
And the offer has not changed so much, local produce and fresh fish handled with care. Mind you, now you can enjoy its dining room with sea views or the terrace next to the pool with beautiful night-time lighting.
Make the most of the restaurant being next to the beach to end the night with a stroll along the sand around the bay of Roses.
Restaurante Aigua Blava
Aiguablava is one of the iconic coves in Begur, true to its name, the intense blue of the water is due to the depth as well as the fact that it is surrounded by sheer slopes populated by pine trees.
The restaurant of the Hotel Aigua Blava, on a hilltop with views of the cove, has a dining room with large windows and a terrace that almost overhangs the sea, being one of the deluxe classics on the Costa Brava.
Its cuisine lives up to the exceptional setting and has deserved the recognition of gourmets and guides from all over Spain.
Restaurant of the Parador de Aiguablava
Still in Aiguablava, the Parador stands out on Punta d’Es Mut, on the highest point of the cliff that closes the cove to the south and its panoramic views are the most impressive views possible, open to a horizon that displays a whole range of blues.
Recently refurbished, it is worth visiting just to enjoy its installations and setting, but the seafood cuisine of its restaurant is also a real treat.
We would recommend ending the evening with a drink in the gardens around the pool, but such recommendation may not be required, as you will surely not want the night to end!
We like the restaurant of the Cala del Pi Beach Retreat, one of the best deluxe hotels on the Costa Brava.
Among the large spaces of the hotel, with conservatories and terraces that gradually descend to the cove, the pine trees and the Mediterranean, we find the welcoming interior dining room of Aurum and the terraces, ideal for long after-dinner conversations.
Its cuisine, defined as signature food from the Empordà region, offers a fresh and renewed look at the products from the sea and mountains in each season.
Enjoy the summer and a great gastronomic break very close to the centre of Platja d’Aro.
Restaurante Sa Conca
Restaurant Sa Conca is in S’Agaró, one of the enclaves with the best track record in deluxe tourism on the Costa Brava.
The Hotel S’Agaró, where it is found, offers a classical setting, evoking the tourist tradition of the area. We love its main entrance staircase and the balustrades of the terraces that open up onto the gardens, as well as its warm décor.
Its offer is based on fish and seafood, as well as typical rice dishes and others from the Empordà region.
Take the time to end the evening with a walk along the coastal path or a stroll along the beach, both just a few metres from Sa Conca.
With views of Fenals beach, one of the best known in Lloret de Mar, we find the Barca d’Or restaurant, of the Hotel Rigat Park & Spa.
Its interior, with high vaulted ceilings, large windows and ironwork details, distinguishes it and gives it that special touch. It also has a superb terrace, ideal for summer evenings on the sea front.
Surround yourself with luxury and try its cuisine, specialising on seafood products and international dishes reinterpreted by the Chef, which together with its attentive service will complete a memorable night.
On the Santa Cristina beach in Lloret de Mar, we find Restaurante 58, of the Hotel Santa Marta.
The dining room and the terraces offer spectacular panoramic views of the beach surrounded by pine forests, the magical combination of blue and green that it typical of the Costa Brava.
Its gastronomic offer revolves around updating the traditional recipes from the sea and land of the Costa Brava, based on local, seasonal produce.
From the restaurant we can descend through the hotel’s own installations to its beach club, where we can end a memorable evening on the sea front.
