An authentic gateway to the Greek and Roman culture on the Iberian peninsula, Empúries is an exceptional archaeological site, where the remains of a Greek city, Emporion, coexist with those of a Roman city, the ancient Emporiae. From the ruins we see the sea and can visit the quay that, against all odds, survives the onslaught of all weathers.
